How to play Double Easthaven Solitaire?

Double Easthaven Solitaire is played with 2 decks of cards and gameplay is a mix between Klondike and Spider Solitaire.

Goal

The goal is to move all the cards to the 8 piles of the foundation. Once the cards are placed Ace through King by suit in the 8 piles of the foundation, the game is won. If you cannot make further progress towards this task, the game is lost.

Gameplay

The board initially has 3 cards in each of the 8 tableau columns. The rest of the cards are placed together in the deck. Each of the foundation piles are empty.

Rules for the tableau

There is one rule for placing cards in the tableau: to place a card on another card the cards must be descending and opposite color. So the 8 of Diamonds can be placed on the 9 of Spades. Cards can move together if they are descending and opposite color. So the 9 of Spades and 8 of Diamonds can move together and be placed on the 10 of Hearts.

Rules for the Deck

In Double Easthaven, at any time you can deal from the deck onto each of the tableau columns. One card is placed on each of the columns per deal. The best time to do this is when you can't make any more progress.

Rules for the Foundation

The 8 piles of the foundation have two rules for placement: if the pile is empty, you can place an Ace if it is the correct suit. If the pile isn't empty, you can add a card to the pile if the value is one greater than the top card in the pile and the suit is the same. For example the 9 of Hearts can be placed on the 8 of Hearts in the Hearts pile of the foundation.
