How to play Josephine Solitaire?

Josephine Solitaire has the same layout as Forty Thieves Solitaire. It is a two deck solitaire game with 10 tableau columns that initially have 4 face-up cards each.

Josephine Solitaire Goal

The goal of Josephine Solitaire is to move all of the cards to the 8 foundation piles that are placed Ace through King. Once all of the cards are placed Ace through King, by suit, in the foundation you have won.

Josephine Solitaire Gameplay

The difference between Josephine Solitaire and Forty Thieves Solitaire is that in Josephine Solitaire cards in the tablueau can be moved together if they are in descending order by suit. So if a tableau column has the 7 of Clubs, 6 of Clubs, 5 of Clubs, and 4 of Clubs, and another column has the 8 of Clubs, the 7,6,5,4 of Clubs can be moved together onto the 8 of Clubs.

There are 4 main areas of the board in Josephine Solitaire: the 10 tableau columns, the 8 foundation piles, the deck, and the discard. As gameplay progresses, cards are moved from the deck to the discard, discard to tableau or foundation, tableau to foundation or another column of the tableau.

Tableau

In Josephine Solitaire, the tableau is made up of 10 columns. Those 10 columns initially have 4 face-up cards each.

Foundation

The foundation has 8 piles, one for each suit of the two decks.

Deck

The deck initially contains all the cards that aren't in the tableau. The deck cards are face-down and are turned over to face-up when they are laid on the discard.

Discard

The discard is face-up and is initially empty. The cards are moved from the deck to the discard, one at a time.
