How to play Wish Solitaire?

The gameplay of Wish Solitaire involves matching cards by value in a Tableau and a discard pile.

Goal of Wish Solitaire

The main goal of Wish Solitaire is to clear all the cards from the tableau by moving them to the discard pile. The game is won when all cards from the tableau have been transferred to the discard pile. The game is lost if no further moves are possible.

Wish Solitaire Setup

Wish Solitaire is played with a standard deck of playing cards but only the 7 through Aces are used.

At the beginning of the game, 32 cards are placed in 8 piles of 4 cards each in the tableau.

Wish Solitaire Gameplay

Valid moves are any match of two cards of the same value. Cards are moved to the discard pile by twos. The gameplay is relatively simple, but there is some strategy involved.

The game ends when all cards are moved to the discard pile or no further moves are possible.

Wish Solitaire Strategy

Strategy is involved when there are multiple possible moves, which happens when there are three or more cards of the same value at the top of the pile.

If you have a choice of moves, choose cards that are in piles with the most cards. It is preferable to keep the piles as even as possible.
